The Yuletide Season...

As my church pastor once said....Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. Christmas is also a time for joy and happiness. Meeting up with family members, relatives, frens whom I've not seen for quite a while, etc. This year was no exception.......well, almost.

First the joys of the season. Two highlights. One was my annual family Christmas dinner with all my relatives. It was an evening filled with food, fun, family carolling (with me as the guitarist), and the traditional present giving. Second highlight was the nite before that. A dinner meeting wif my poly fren, whom I've not seen since after our final exams in poly; so this was our first meeting in, like, 4 years. We had dinner @ NYDC, followed by coffee @ a bistro. In between, we spent quite a while catching up with each other. Truly enjoyed ourselves dat nite.

But by the same token, this year, I also have to be realistic and understand, that not everyone is in the Christmas spirit. Some frens I know have lost loved ones. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to them in this time of trial, that God be with them to lift their spirits up, that He may give them the strength to go thru this period of mourning.

To one and all, for all the right reasons.......Have A Truly Blessed Christmas!!!!

1st Day Back

Touched down in Singapore at 5.30 am this morning. Had a few hrs of sleep and i'm off and running.

Started at noon and lunch wif my church frens @ Holland V. Once lunch was over, i thot...SP is nearby, mite as well pop by to see my poly lecturers. Surprised they still remember me, 4 yrs after I left dat place. Good to know they all doin ok.

After further unpacking in my room, I went out again. This time to Orchard Rd.....and meeting a few frens in the process...Nelly, Christopher, Kelly and Ken, members of the NuAge Alliance. On the way back home, happened to meet my poly classmate Francis.

And So It Ends....

So this is it....in a few days I'm goin back home. Regardless what happens, I've secured my degree and I'm heading back to Singapore. It's been a long 2 years, but yet it seems so short.

Still, I'll always cherish the memories I've made in Australia, as well as the pple I met over the 2 yrs.

Finally...It's All Over!!!!

Well, it's been awhile since I last had an entry posted here. Been busy preparing for my exams. But at long last, the exams are over. But more importantly, my studying life has finally come to a close. Wow, datz quick. 2 yrs of uni life has come and gone. And to think, 2/3 weeks ago, I was worried that I may not make it thru. But by God's grace, the last 48 hrs would turn out to be my finest hours.

Monday was my 1st paper, which was Income Tax Law. Before the paper, I was discussing a past exam qn wif my coursemate. He commented how the qns in the past exam papers were exactly the same. Hmm...interesting. Anywayz, we went in ready for the paper. When perusal started and I flipped the qn paper...U gotta be kidding me! The exact same qn that we discussed came out!! I dunno abt the others in the room, but I think pple cld hear me giggling away. Anywayz, tho the paper was 90 mins long, I still managed to finish it.

Tuesday morning was my other paper, E-Commerce Infrastructure Management. This I thot was a tricky paper before I entered the exam room. But juz like the previous paper, I was in for a surprise. Tho we were not allowed to write anything during perusal, the majority of my preperation for this paper was spot on. I'm sure many others in the room felt the same way; because of the qns and us being allowed to answer in point form, tho it was supposed to be a 2 hr paper, I finished it in half the time; and by the time I left the room, there were only 3 pple remaining.

To be honest, I never expect my final two exams to flow so well. I guess there were pple praying for me. I know mum was. And I knew God was watching over me. After I left the exam room, I felt like someone took a huge load off my shoulders. I dunno watz the proper word for it, but i spent my whole student life wondering if I'll ever make to the next academic level. And now, instead of wondering, I look forward with confidence that I can at least pass these final two subjects, and look towards my convocation.
